Meet Sasha and Tigeress

Sasha came to FOPAS with three kittens that she had given birth to at the animal control facility in Perry. Sasha was very skinny and her kittens where tiny and it was obvious that she didn't get the nutrition she needed during pregnancy. One of her kittens she gave birth to four, had passed away shortly after birth. The three remaining kittens come to FOPAS. Sasha was given Science Diet Urgent Care pate cat food. Its very expensive but it is very high in nutrients and calories.  She and her kittens where beginning to gain weight. Then one kitten stopped nursing, and got diarrhea and passed away. This is common with kittens born to a feral or street cat that cannot get the nutrients she needs to keep herself and her kittens healthy.

Two kittens remained, for awhile then poor little mystical got diarrhea declined rapidly and passed away. At this point we are medicating both the remaining kitten and mom for intestinal parasites, giving them both a probiotic, immune boost, and special high calorie food.

Sasha and Tigress are doing great! Then Tigress has her first vet appointment, while she is away mom Sasha is at the shelter, loosing her mind looking for Tigress. Every person who walked by her crate she examined to see if they had her baby.  Her eyes where wide with panic and she sat at the door of her crate watching until finally her baby came back.

Usually, mother cats have no problem separating form there kittens, but this is a special case so much has happened to these two they have become a bonded pair. We want these two to find a home together so Sasha does not become a overwhelmed with anxiety.

If you have room for two kitties in your home please consider this beautiful bonded pair.
