Lacy, is expecting puppies any day now, she was found as a stay and brought to us last week. We have cleared out a spot for her to rest and have her babies. Mom is a boxer mix but we have no idea what dad was, it will be very exciting to see what the puppies look like. How many is she going to have? When will she have them? Puppies will not be ready for eight to twelve weeks after birth. Updates will be posted here when puppies are born stay tuned.
The Puppies have arrived! January 22 2017 at 12:18PM Happy Birthday Puppies!
Mamma Lacy is doing well, so far we have six beautiful babies, we will learn more about them as time goes right now we are letting mom and babies eat and rest.
To keep up with Lacy's family check back here often for updates.
Trying not to bother mom and her babies too much I took a quick peek at each one. They are very small and wiggly so there gender is subject to change. Meet the puppies..
Jute, the tiniest puppy. She is being supplemented and monitored closely.
Clean happy puppies
Puppies are a week old! Grow puppies grow. They are getting much bigger!
Even little runt Jute.
From left to right, Angora, Linen, and Hemp.
Mamma Lacy is doing great with hungry little Kevlar.
Jute decides she is hungry too.
Growth and development for the next 28 days! Looking forward to seeing those little eyes! Obviously these puppies where not bred.
Kevlar, so tired
Linen first one to open eyes!
Angora the largest puppy!
Hemp was very fussy when picked up and she was making mom nervous, so I left her in the nest while I cleaned around her and didn't get a picture. She has the biggest white spot on the back of her head, with silver body. Here is everyone snuggled in there clean bed. You can also tell here that little Jute is catching up in size to her siblings! She is in between her two silver sisters.
Unfortunatly we got some bad news about mamma Lacy. She is heart worm positive and will not be able to undergo treatment until her puppies are weened. Hopefully she will stay healthy and perky until we can get her treatment. She has been put on antibiotics for some naisle discharge and coughing. The antibiotic are safe for the puppies and may help boost there immune system to keep them healthy as well. We will not know more about the cost of the treatment and the intensity until she can be away for her puppies for further testing.
Heart worm treatments are expensive the lowest possible cost being $500 it's goes up from there. We are excepting donations to help Lacy, you can donate to our pay pal at
or mail us a check directly to

Hemp what is this stuff? Mmmmmm tasty!
Mamma began to get nervous and layed in the box to nurse we will try solid food another day. Puppies are ready mamma Lacy is not.
The puppies where put on antibiotics for naisle discharge, they caught from mom who came in with it. They have finished there antibiotic today and all seem healthy.
They have started to eat solid food this week and are all doing well with puppy chow mixed with Milk Replacer. They still need moms milk for another four weeks to help them grow and develop. It's really hard to get pictures of them while they are eating it's a feeding frenzy! So here are some updated pictures names included.
Is it time for you to feed them yet?
Wool is now the largest puppy! Almost double the size of her siblings.
Lacy's puppies has there very first vet appointment Wednesday March 1st 2017! They are all doing well had some of there first shots. They are all eating dry food with alittle water on it to make it mushy so it's easier to chew. They will be six weeks old on Sunday March 5th. Some will be ready for adoption when they reach eight weeks on Sunday March 24th. Some of the smaller puppies like Jute may need more time with mamma because they are still nursing quite a bit.
Our little Jute has had two people inquire about adopting her. We will do our best to find the perfect home at the perfect time for her. She is also on an antibiotic as of Wednesday because of a swollen lymph node, that will be re-checked after she finishes her antibiotic.
All the puppies where de wormed and all are working on passing the worms, so they can get all the nuetrents from there food and grow big and strong!
The photos here may show there messy pen because we let them eat and then clean there pen for the 5th or 6th time that day to prepair them for night time. Puppies are messy and we are doing our best to keep them clean, well fed and comfortable.
Feeding frenzy, the puppies eat several times a day this feeding is there last of the day to get them through the night. We are beginning to ween them so mamma Lacy stays in a crate close by during the night.
They do have two dishes available, but they all like to gather around one.
After they finished eating mamma visited with the babies, then everyone was cleaned up and ready for bed. Goodnight little puppies!
ALL PUPPIES AND MAMMA LACY ADOPTED!
